Foods for healthy teeth and gums

With a healthy diet, we will not only maintain physical health, but also the health of teeth and gums. We present foods that benefit teeth and gums and contribute to the health of your oral cavity.

Foods that contribute to the health of teeth and gums:

  • Apples– contain a lot of vitamin C, which works against inflammation of the gums.

  • Paprika – carotene in the red colored vegetable keeps the mucous membrane in the mouth healthy.

  • Spinach – green vegetables such as spinach form a short-term protective film over the teeth that protects against staining, such as from tea or red wine.

  • Cabbage– contains vitamin K and potassium for the jaw bones, and vitamin K also inhibits the acid production of caries bacteria.

  • Natural yogurt or kefir – contains calcium to strengthen bones, and lactic acid bacteria reduce plaque and prevent inflammation.

  • Hard cheese – in addition to its high calcium content, hard cheese creates a slightly greasy protection on the teeth that neutralizes caries bacteria.

  • Cranberries – they contain polyphenols (just like tea), which prevents plaque from building up on tooth enamel. Important: Because cranberries are very acidic, sugar is often added to them, which makes them less beneficial for the health of our teeth and gums.

  • Sea fish – they are a good source of vitamin D, which contributes to strong teeth and jaw bones.

  • Nuts – Contains important elements such as calcium and phosphorus that contribute to healthy teeth and gums. By nibbling on almonds, pistachios and walnuts, you prevent bacteria that cause tooth decay.

  • Onions – raw onions are antibacterial and help fight against the evil bacteria that cause tooth decay and gum disease.

  • Peppermint tea– suitable for gargling with inflammation in the oral cavity and toothache. Pour two teaspoons of fresh leaves with a cup of water

  • Chewing fennel seeds – freshens breath. Fennel herb with high phosphorus content keeps teeth healthy.

Če želimo bolj natančno sliko določenega predela z veliko natančnih detajlov, naredim RVG lokalni posnetek s katerim zajamemo področje 1-2 zoba, posamzeno razpoko, plombo ali granulom.
